EVS was formed out of necessity to offer the very best to the emergency service industry. Our goal is to service & maintain all makes of emergency equipment with factory-trained technicians to serve all customers no matter what brand of equipment they may have in their station.

Emergency Vehicle Specialist combines the experience of Jim Kimble of Jim Kimble's Truck and Auto Repair and Danny Bowers formally of Interstate Truck Equipment.

Jim has been in business for 26 years repairing all types of autos, trucks and fire apparatus. He is an ASE master truck technician, has received various truck chassis schooling, Mack International, and Pierce, and is a National Association of Emergency Vehicle Technicians member.

Danny has been working on Fire Apparatus beginning at Mt. Aetna Body Works in the early 80's then was employed by Interstate Truck Equipment from 1986-2002. Danny has worked on all makes and types of fire trucks, aerials, ambulances and brush units. He has designed and built various types of truck bodies, specialty hardware and chassis upgrades to meet NFPA and DOT requirements. He has been department manager and estimate writer for accidents and prepared quotes on full rehabs on all brands of fire equipment and holds various EVT and OEM certifications.
